This project is a personal brand website designed to showcase the client’s expertise, highlight her unique value, and convert website visitors into leads.
The primary goal was to position the client as a credible authority in her field.
[the problem]
The client had a style guide and raw copy for the project, but neither accurately reflected her personal brand vibe.
The color palette and logo failed to represent her style. Her main concern was that her clients were unfamiliar with technical terminology, so the copy needed to be clear and easy to understand, ensuring clients could fully grasp the solutions she provided while still viewing her as the expert. Additionally, the client wanted a website that combined elements of both a landing page and an informational site.
[research and discovery]
Before diving into the design, I conducted an in-depth analysis to understand the needs of my client and her audience. I identified key pain points, such as a lack of personalization in the branding. A competitive analysis revealed that many competitors had a clear, modern aesthetic and concise copy with a personalized touch.
From this research, I gathered valuable insights that shaped my design approach. The focus was on maintaining a simple, modern aesthetic, prioritizing clear copy and project showcases, and highlighting essential information to capture the user's attention.
[strategy & approach]
To address the key pain points, I adopted a human-centered design approach to ensure the website prioritized the user experience. I developed a well-balanced, comprehensive brand strategy that addressed the lack of personalization. Drawing inspiration from curly shapes and the provided fonts, I crafted a clean, minimalist, modern, yet creative design strategy.
For the color palette, I drew from the provided brand colors, selecting similar hues with improved contrast to enhance website accessibility. In terms of typography, I combined sans-serif and serif fonts to create a balanced, visually appealing design.
The copy was crafted with a focus on personalization and an interactive tone, ensuring it aligned with the client’s brand strategy and effectively communicated her unique value.
I began by creating low-fidelity wireframes to map the layout of each page, prioritizing simplicity, clean navigation, and prominent calls-to-action (CTAs). Next, I developed high-fidelity prototypes to visualize user interactions, transitions, and animations.
The design followed a modern, clean, minimalist, and creative style, with a strong focus on the copy and CTAs. To achieve a blend of a landing page and an informational website, I incorporated elements like a dedicated project section and highlighted key numbers and results to capture user attention and build credibility.
[the solution]
The issue of website visitors struggling to understand technical jargon was resolved through clear, user-friendly copywriting. The new brand strategy addressed the problem of personalization, ensuring the website better reflected the client’s unique style and voice.
The client’s vision of a minimalist yet creative design was brought to life with the use of an updated color palette, carefully chosen typography, micro-animations, and custom illustrations. These elements combined to create a visually engaging and user-friendly experience that aligned perfectly with the client’s goals.
The next steps involve continuously monitoring website performance, analyzing user behavior, and implementing data-driven improvements to enhance conversions and user experience. This includes developing more targeted content, such as blog posts, case studies, and lead magnets, to attract and engage a broader audience.
Regular SEO audits will be conducted to update on-page SEO elements like meta descriptions, keywords, and internal linking, ensuring the website maintains high search rankings. Ongoing feedback from users and stakeholders will be collected to refine the website experience, ensuring it continues to align with evolving business goals.
